Notes:
James Hunter Hume (1881-1947)2 started as a stenographer and druggist at the Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg VA. He later worked at drug stores in South Hill and Norfolk, before starting the J. H. Hume Drug Co in Richmond in 1919. In 1929, he came to Cartersville and took over the Dickerson Drug Company, and it became the Hume Drug Co in Cartersville VA.3
