 Edward Lewis Jackson (1895-1981)3 passed his pharmacy exam in 1917. 4

In 1924, he bought the Peoples Drug Store in Richland and changed the name to "E.L. Jackson & Company". 1

Edwards father was John Edward Jackson (1860-1934)5, who was the owner of the Jackson Drug Co drugstore in nearby Tazewell Virginia.

The E.L. Jackson & Co. drug store lasted until at least 19632, as that's the last year I found any newspaper ads for the store.
