Park View Pharmacy

Company Names, addresses, dates: 1
      Early Store
Park View Pharmacy, Glasgow & Pearl Streets, Portsmouth VA (ca.1897-ca.1900) 2,3
Later Store with the same name
Park View Pharmacy, 500 N Elm Street, Portsmouth VA (1939-1971) 1,4

Notes:
The bottle below has an address of "GLASGOW & PEARL STS" embossed on it.
That drug store doesn't show up in any of the Portsmouth city directories I have access to,1 but I do see newspaper mentions of it from 18972 to 19003.

Mr. H. H. Denning owned a drugstore there, and in 1896 he sold it to Burwell T. Riddick. 5
But in the 1897 city directory it shows up under Riddick's name, although it does mention that the address was in "Park View", which was a section of Portsmouth.1

The last mention of the Park View Pharmacy at that location that I could find was in 1900.3

About 39 years later, another drugstore with that same name shows up in the city directories. I don't think it was related to the first store in any way other than having the same name and being in the same "Park View" section of town. 1
The last newspaper mention I found for that store as in 1971.4
