Jerome Pendleton Carr (1870-1956)2 was a drug store owner in Portsmouth VA.

In the 1888 Portsmouth city directory, he was listed as a clerk at the G.A. Krieger drug store. In the 1889 directory, he had is own drug store. He continued to own a drug store until 1956, the year he passed away.1

The bottles below do not say "Portsmouth" on them, but the name and addresses embossed on the bottles match up with the Portsmouth city directories, as Jerome Carr was at 1001/1006 Green Street (which was near Bart street) and 612 Court Street was on the corner of County Street.
