Penick Drug Co, 805 Main Street, Lynchburg VA (1908-ca.1912)

Notes:
William Bruce Penick (1868-1914)2 ran a drugstore in Lynchburg Virginia in the early 1900s.1

The 1900 city directory lists a drugstore in his name at the corner of Grace and Washington Streets, but in subsequent years that store was listed under the name Diamond Hill pharmacy. There was no store in Penick's name listed in the drugstores for the next few years, but he was active in the drugstore business.

In 1901 he was the pharmacist for the newly opened Cabell & Chelf drug store in Richmond VA.3
The 1904 and 1906 city directories had him working for the J.O. Hanvey drugstore.
In 1907, Penick was the manager of the Central Pharmacy. 4

Starting in 1908, the city directories list the Penick Drug Company at 805 Main Street, with Penick as the president, so it appears he became a drugstore owner again.1

On or about 1913, Penick moved out of Lynchburg and into Blacksburg VA, where he was working for the W.C. Ellet Drug Company. In 1914, while still living in Blacksburg, Penick passed away. 5
