Carter & Co

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  Carter & Co, Warrenton VA (1898-1900) 1,2

Notes:
In July 1898 there was a newspaper announcement that Mr. H. Lee Carter and his brother "the Dr." were expecting a thousand dollar soda-fountain for their new drug store1.
I beleive that is referring to Mr. Henry Lee Carter (1866-1903)3 and Dr C. Shirley Carter (1856-1928)4, who were brothers living in Warrenton.

In February 1900, it was announced that Carter & Co had "made an assignment", which I think is legal-speak meaning they sold their drug store. E.S. Turner and James P. Jeffries were appointed by the court as the receivers2.
So it appears that the drug store was short-lived.
