M.E. Mease

Company Names, addresses, dates:
  M.E. Mease, Sandy Level VA

Notes:
Dr. Monsey Edgar Mease (1880-1967)1 was a doctor who lived in Sandy Level VA, a town about 10 miles west of Danville.
The earliest newspaper mention I could find for him as a doctor in Sandy Level was in 19082.

I couldn't find any evidence that he ran a drugstore, but there was a newspaper article in 1922 saying he violated the National Prohibition Act, so I suspect he had something like a drugstore at that time.3

A Danville city directory from 1930 lists Mease as a physician at 803 Main Street (presumably in Danville), with his residence in Sandy Level. So his medical practice may have been in Danville.

The 1950 US Census listed him as "unable to work". He would have been 70 years old at that time, so presumably he was retired.
