Notes:
Paul Massie (1861-1934)5 was a drugstore owner in Roanoke VA. He partnered with W. R. Martin circa 1861 and opened the Massie & Martin drug store.2
I don't know for sure, but his partner might be the same William Rogers Martin who owned Martin's Pharmacy in Norfolk.

In 1894, they announced their partnership dissolution, and the Massie became the sole owner of the pharmacy. 4

His store at 109 Jefferson Street shows up in city directories from 1894 to 1906. Starting in 1907, the store at 109 Jefferson is listed as the Van Lear Brothers drugstore. In subsequent years, Massie is listed as being in the real estate business.1

According to his obituary, he had operated other drug stores "in various parts of the city", but I couldn't find any information about which stores they were. 6
