Hogg, Hooks & Co. Inc.

Company Names, addresses, dates:1
Hogg, Hooks & Co. Inc., 500 E Marshall St., Richmond VA (1905-1906)
Hogg's Drug Store, 500 E Marshall St., Richmond VA (1907-1916)

Notes:
George T. Hogg (1881-1915)2 was a druggist in Richmond.
The company started out in 1905 as Hogg-Hook & Company, with James H. Grant as the president, George Hogg the treasurer, and Arthur Hooks as the secretary 3.

The only year I can find advertisements for "Hogg's Alterative Compound" (which is embossed on some of the bottles below) is 19184, which was after Hogg's death. I'm not sure how that product showed up after Hogg passed away. The 1910 US Census showed he had a wife, son, daughter, 2 sisters and a brother. His kids would have been too young, so maybe it was his wife or one of his siblings who created the Hogg's Alterative Compound. Or maybe George invented it, but for some reason it was never advertised in Richmond newspapers until after his death.

hogg_02 Same as the bottles above, but larger. It's an amber 6.5" bottle embossed:
