In 1875, George F. Norton purchased the drugstore on the corner of 14th and Franklin Streets (22 N 14th St) from James P. Duvall.4
In May of 1878, he announced his partnership with William A. Carrington. 2
That partnership only lasted 7 months, as they announced the partnership was disolved on January 4, 1879, with Carrington taking over as the sole owner of the drug store. 3
Carrington graduated from the Virginia College of Medicine in 18795.
Sadly, Carrington passed away in March 1881 at age 23 when he accidentally shot himself.6
