Notes:
Joseph William Booth (1872-1915)2 was a druggist in Portsmouth.
The 1889 & 1890 city directories list him as a drug clerk at 619 Crawford, which was the address of the August Buff drug store. The 1892 city directory is the first one that lists Booth at his own drugstore. In the derectories from subsequent years, his drugstore name included "and brother". 1

Charles I. Booth (1877-1936)3 was Joseph's brother. Apparently after Joseph passed away, Charles continued to run the store without changing the name, as it appears in city directories up to 1936, the year that Charles passed away.1

The 1937 city directory listed Bray's Pharmacy at the address formerly held by Booth.1
