Dr J.M. Holloway

Company Names, addresses, dates:
Dr J.M. Holloway, Port Royal VA (ca.1917-ca.1920's) (see text below)

Notes:
Dr. Joseph Minor Holloway (1889-1975)2 graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 1914, and was also a graduate of Washington Lee University and the University of Pennsylvania. 2

I couldn't find any indication that he owned a drugstore, except for the drugstgore bottle shown below.

His WW-I draft card listed him has a doctor practicing in "Port Royal & Vicinity". He shows up in the 1920 US Census as a physician living in Port Royal, but the 1930 US Census lists him living in Fredericksburg VA, which is about 20 miles away from Port Royal. So my guess is that he had some type of drugstore in Port Royal starting by 1917, and ending sometime between 1920 and 1930, but that's just a guess.

In 1919, he was promoted from lieutenant to captain in the Medical Corps U.S. Army, where he served overseas. 3
He retired in 1970. He was a Rotarian and an Elk, and a member of various medical societies. 2
