Notes:
 Richard Willis Thompson (1846-1921)2 teamed up with R.R. Duvall and formed the Duval & Thompson drug store in 1871, in Richmond VA. 3

By 1876 he had moved from Richmond to Petersburg and opened his own drugstore. He continued in Petersburg until at least 1882.1

By 1888, he had moved back to Richmond, where he was the manager of the Park-Place Pharmacy.4
He continued out his career in Richmond, where he passed away in an automobile accident while he was walking across a street. 5
