Quattlebaum's Pharmacy, 471 Main Street, Norfolk VA (1898-1902)

Notes:
Louis C. Ware (born 1870)3 started the "L.C. Ware & Co" drugstore about 1892.
Michael Jenkins Quattlebaum (1863-1939)4 was his partner.1

Apparently the store struggled, because in 1897 Ware sold the store and stock to pay his bills. Apparently Quattlebaum's mother, Daisy Adelaide Harrold Quattlebaum was able to purchase it for $800 after all the bills had been paid.5,6

Ware worked in other drugstores in subsequent years1. In 1907 he moved to Texas, although he returned 2 years later7,8

Meanwhile, Quattlebaum, who had recently opened up a drugstore at 162 Botetourt, took over the former "L C Ware & Co" store and ran it until 1902.1
