Notes:
Ghent is a neighborhood in Norfolk VA. As near as I can tell, the "Ghent Hall Pharmacy" was named after a place in Ghent called "Ghent Hall", which hosted dances and other events. Apparently there was a pharmacy (or two?) in the same building.
The Ghent Pharmacy (without the word 'Hall') appears in city directories from 1913-1933, on Olney Road. The Ghent Hall Pharmacy seems to be a separate store, and it shows up in city directories from 1919-1960.

John W. Rison opened the Ghent Hall Pharmacy in 19162.
By 1920, Harold E. Newman (1890-1935)3 shows up as the proprietor of the Ghent Hall Pharmacy. He continues to be the proprietor until he passed away in 1935.1,3
I don't know who took over after Newman, but the store remained open until on or after 19601.
