Notes:
Dr. George Berger Cocke was born 20-Apr-1891 and died 21-Feb-19722.
He ran the Cocke Pharmacy from 1919 to 1957, after which the pharmacy stayed in the family1. In 1963, Mr. G. Wallace Hook was a co-owner of the pharmacy4. It closed for good in 19843.
Cocke was also the owner of the Prince William Pharmacy in 19413 - a pharmacy that was across the street from the Cocke pharmacy. Later that pharmacy was owned by Dr. C.R.C.Johnson1.
Besides the drugstore business, Cocke was president of the Central Mutual Telephone Company in 19413. He was also president of the Prince William County Volunteer Firemen's Association from 1934 to 19475.

Other stuff:
cocke_06 This is a postcard of the Cocke Pharmacy. Judging from the car, I'd guess it's from the 1930s.
cocke_07 This is another postcard of the Cocke Pharmacy - probably 1940s based on the cars. The building looks similar but different from the building in the postcard above - particularly the windows on the 2nd floor.
cocke_02 This photo was taken 25-February-2012. This building seems to match the building in the postcard above. The address is 9108 Centre Street.
