Greenville Drug Co

Company Names, addresses, dates:
Greenville Drug Co, R.J. Howard Proprietor, Greenville VA

Notes:
The Greenville Drug company started in 1912, with J.M. Swan as the proprietor, and Mr. Payne of White Plains VA as the pharmacist.1

At some point after that, Richard James Howard (1875-1939)2 became the pharmacist and proprietor, as his name appears on the artifacts shown below.
In 1915, Howard was convicted for selling narcotics to minors, and his pharmacist liscense was revoked.3
In 1916, his license was restored.4
The Greenville Drug Store lasted until at least 1935, as that was the year of the latest newspaper ad or reference to the store that I could find. Howard was still the proprietor at that time.5
