Hugh Mercer Apothocary
Company Names, addresses, dates:
Hugh Mercer Apothocary, Fredericksburg VA (1761-1776) 1
Notes:
I don't have any bottles from the Hugh Mercer Apothecary.
I'm sure I never will find one, as bottles from his era were not embossed,
and he may not have sold anything in bottles.
But today a museum exists where his apothecary was.
For more information on the Hugh Mercer apothocary, see the wikipedia site for the
Hugh Mercer Apothecary.

This postcard is probably later than the ones above, as the trees around the

"Mercer practised medicine and kept an apothecary for a number of years before
the Revolution. Gen. Washington always kept a desk here where he transacted
business when in Fredericksburg."
