The following information is from
rdricketts blog1:
An advertisement stated that Jacob's pharmacy was established in 1848.
A 1914 Newspaper clipping showed a soda fountain photo of Jacob's Drug Store, and
said it was on Main St. where Kresge's 5 and 10 cent store was later located.
In 1902, A.W. Jacob was located at 425 Main Street, next to the Masonic Temple.
