L.B. Spencer Drug Co

Company Names, addresses, dates:
L.B. Spencer Drug Co, Blackstone VA

Notes:
Dr Louis Bouldin Spencer (1820-1901)1 was the original owner of the drugstore business that bears his name.

The 1900 US Census lists Louis as the drugstore owner, and his son, Robert Bouldin Spencer (1856-1925)2 as a druggist, so it appears likely it was Robert who took over the business when his father died, but apparently he kept the business under his father's name "L.B. Spencer".

Robert Spencer died in 1925, but I see references to the L.B. Spencer drug store in Blackstone as late as 19383, so apparently someone continued to run the store under that name.
