Notes:

Daniel F. Sullivan (b.1870, d.1953)
Daniel F. Sullivan was born in Ireland, and came to america in 1888 according to the 1900 Census. He ran a saloon at various addresses between 1891 and 1914. The bottle shown below has the address "1400 N. Cap. St.", which is where he was located between 1903-1914. Articles in the Washington Star newspaper indicate that the number of liquor licenses being approved in Washington DC were reduced in the early 1910s, and I suspect that's what lead Daniel to abandon his saloon business. In subsequent years, he was in the grocery business, and later the restaurant business1,2.
