John Nass
Company Names, addresses, dates1:
  John Nass, 4 1/2 west n. I south, Washington DC (1866) [brewer]
John Nass, 821 4 1/2 Street SW, Washington DC (1877-1878) [brewer]
John Nash, 831 4 1/2 Street SW, Washington DC (1879-1880) [brewer]
John Nass, 821 4 1/2 Street SW, Washington DC (1881-1889) [bottler]
Notes:
John Nass is listed as a brewer in the city directories up until 1880, after which
he was listed as a bottler. I don't know why he doesn't show up in directories
in any of the years between 1866 and 1877. I suspect the 2 years that his name was
spelled "NASH" instead of "NASS" was probably a typo, as was the address '831' instead
of '821'.
An ad in the Feb 2, 1881 Washington Post said that John Nass was a bottler of
Bergner & Engel's Philadelphia Lager beer.
