Notes:
Charles Godfrey Mueden (1838-1913)2 was a Washington DC merchant with many different occupations over the years1, including brewing beer. He's listed as owning a brewery at the corner of B and 5th Streets in 1866.

Then in 1867, he teamed up with Edward Abner, a Saloon owner, and started the Abner & Mueden brewery on NY Avenue. Abner & Mueden claimed all bottles and jugs marked "G.F. Mueden", "C.G. Mueden", "Alex. Fegh", "P. Hohl", "A. Miller" and "A. Mueller".3

The partnership was short lived, as the 1868 directory has Abner back on his own, and Mueden on his own as a Weiss beer brewer at a different address. The 1869 directory has Mueden at still a different address, and the city directories in subsequent years list him as having various other occupations at various Washington DC locations.
